The ultimate in wireless technology is now available to transmit your alarms to us over the airwaves instead over telephone lines or the internet. This concept is similar to connecting a dedicated cell phone to your alarm panel. Wireless technology precludes sophisticated intruders from cutting your phone and/or cable lines to prevent alarms from reaching our command center.

Wireless technology costs only $195 to install and $12.95 per month for airwaves access. For an additional $3.95 per month you can also use your personal cell phone to arm or disarm the system from anywhere. If you are paying for an existing telephone line to support your alarm system, you can now eliminate this costly line ($25+ dollars a month) and improve your home security at the same time.

Using internet phones systems (Comcast, Vontage, etc.) to transmit alarm signals is a mistake. These systems are designed to transmit "voice" and may not transmit the panel’s “digital alarm data” reliably to our central station. Often times these systems are not properly connected to the alarm panel in which case nothing will be transmitted to us. Finally, these systems introduce additional points of failure because they depend on your modem, router, third party software, and internet access all working properly at the critical point an alarm occurs.

It clearly makes a lot of sense to install a wireless system now and actually save money by eliminating costly, unreliable or otherwise unnecessary phone lines.
